I think the harness from your 5 series is different. If it's the same, no harm in running it with DP.

Hey ocN55 nice info! But one question. Terry wrote Map7 requires straight unleaded race gas. So you were using straight race gas with Map7? Do you think I'll be able to use E30 or E40 mix for Map7? Since I cant run full E85 |

IF your current vehicle can handle whatever ethanol mix is needed to achieve said octane(e50/e60), then you're all set. From what I have read, some good mods to support this are JB4+backend flash, LP fuel pump upgrade, "in-line booster" Fuel-IT mod i think it is. There may be more but maxed out trims is our first hurdle from running anything too far up north of E30. This is the same reason I am just about to get the e85 BEF from BMS/MHD N54, 2addicts, and some other forums have a gold mine of info man. We are blessed in that aspect of things |

Great write-up, thanks.
Is the Burger JB Plus tuner equivalent to a "stage 1 tune?" |

Great post, still relevant after four years. I'm curious if there are any packaged tuners for my M235i similar to the Cobb AP I used with my WRX years ago. In addition, would they be as flexible as my AP. I used the AP from Stage 1, Stage 2 OTS map than through two stages of custom builds. My 235 is still under the CPO extended warranty and will be for a little over a year so, I might consider a Stage 1 tune until out of warranty. Maybe a few years down the road, Stage 2 and probably stop there. Is there a mod I can get that would allow me to run Stage 1 and later Stage 2 with the addition of an aftermarket DP, intercooler, CAI without having to scrap the hardware used for Stage 1?

Also, with all the stuff listed above which VRSF intercooler is right for me? I'm new to tuning so go easy. |

Another thread revive!
I will be getting a 2015 m235 in the next 10 days. I will also be getting a Racechip stage 1. Is this plug and play? Can I disconnect without a trace if I get an extended warranty and need service? Also, how hard is it to replace the chargepipe compared to a 135? I have a garage down the street that charged me $75 to install one I ordered online..... |

Hey all,
Anyone who is running a stage 1 tune from Burger for example, still running the original charge pipe? I have a '15 that still has the original pipe and have gathered from several threads on here that if you're running stock, to leave the pipe alone, but any 'tune' or added power and you should change it out pre-emptively. Is this true for just stage 1 and not really intending to track or autox the car anytime soon? thx |

I've also read some opinions online that unless running more power, leave it alone. IOW don't change it out 'pre-emptively' which differs somewhat from certain threads on this forum.
