My old RWD F30 335i (M Sport) had quite a bit of body roll as well. Of course, I just had the standard Sport/M Sport suspension. The M Performance suspension was the only M Performance upgrade I neglected to install. Should've made that my first priority.
If excessive body roll does indeed present itself as an issue on the new M235i (jury's out until we actually get some seat time in it), it should be fairly easy to rectify. It's kind of puzzling to me that this characteristic has crept its way into a few of the standard, non-M models as of late.

This debate reflects the difference between an ///M car and an ///M performance car.
Personally I think they should have used a different letter like S or called it M Sport. ///S235i That would be a good designation. It's Sport but not Motorsport. They can even have the M stripes next to the S to make them think that there's a connection.

Looks about right, sounds cool, but a little fake considering it was a wet track.
What's with all these guys showing off cars on the track without a helmet? |

Every street-legal cars, including those super exotic hypercars, will roll when cornered hard. I have not seen a road car that doesn't roll, dive, or pitch when driven to the limit. The CSL clearly rolls too (if you can't tell from that video, you need to have your eyes checked), but the roll on the CSL is of course minimized due to stiffer suspension and lower ride height (lower ride height translates to lower CoG, which helps to reduce roll/pitch). The M235i obviously has larger roll due to softer suspension and higher ride height/CoG, but it still doesn't look too bad, and it's probably exacerbated by those off-camber corners at Thruxton anyway.
If they can offer a factory-installed M Performance Package that includes the M Performance LSD, suspension, brakes, exhaust, wheels, etc. as well as an active sound delete option, that should complete this car… |

I think you either get them port-installed and they keep the stock parts, or you do dealer install and pay labor and you keep the stock parts |

Yup, looks like a pig. To make matters worse, it appears the active suspension will be standard for US models! Why! Why can't they make it optional so you can get a proper manly suspension?

If I do end up getting this car, I will most likely do ED, hence why I prefer the factory-install option if it’s possible. I think BMW ought to at least offer them through BMW Individual. Is port-install still possible if you do ED? Another scenario is if I choose to do PCD as well, do they get installed at the Performance Center? |

I can see why some would like this car and I was hoping I would, but it's just not for me. It just has a rather tame look to it. It's already a small car and putting that wimpy wheel/tire combo on doesn't help things. Makes for better fuel economy but not performance. Anyway, to those that like it, that's great. Just not for me unless it looks considerably different in person.

So the parts get installed after the vehicle arrives to the US... if you do ED the parts get installed after shipping and before delivery to the dealer. Same if you do PDC... part will get installed in the VPC before it gets delivered to the PDC in SC It would be much better if this was installed from factory but looks like that's what retrofit part means..... so either you get to keep the parts and pay labor at the dealer or do port-install and they keep all the stock parts.... It's kind of dumb cause it's like you are paying twice for a part of the car...hope i'm wrong |

Unsure if there was an LSD, but this is nothing the M Performance suspension or some Springs and tightly bound shocks couldn't cure. I'm assuming the stabilizer bars as big as they can be....
