Since you're using BMS Meth kit, reach out to N54tech.com or Terry they will tell you whats the most meth% you should use

I got unexpected results on the dyno today. I had the BMS Methanol Injection kit recently installed on my 2016 428xi and the numbers showed more power output to the wheels on Map 2 than on Map 3. Running a 50/50 mix.
With the BMS kit is there a way of knowing when the meth is spraying? Could Meth spray on Map 2 also? Mods: JB4, Injen intake, Wagner Catless DP, AWE Quadtip Exhaust, BMS Meth Last edited by take1step; 06-22-2017 at 01:28 PM.. |

Get the JB bluetooth and download the JB4 app - you can see the meth spray real time.

Then was talking to some guys about going to a dual nozzle. I ordered a cm5 and cm 7 and made the switch with my system. I added in Home Depot push fittings for convenience, but then decided that's a bad idea. They seem to handle the pressure fine, but I'm not sure how the seals will last over time being exposed to methanol. I also realized that the solenoid should be as close to the nozzle as possible. Also I found out I had a kink in my line. Currently I am going to put in a new line with all brass compression fittings and the solenoid right next to the nozzle. I have been too busy to work on my car lately so that is why you haven't heard from me in a bit. |

Based on what Ive been told, if you plan to run a larger turbo, meth is the bare minimum you'll need for additional fueling. The tunes I have now (6K miles and a year running almost) do not necessitate PI or LPFP upgrades, but it's something Im looking into just for additional piece of mind. |

And my car only makes 12-13 psi on map 2 while some guys report 16-17. My turbo must just be lazy haha. Also for the record fbo map2 felt a little better than stock. Map 3 however.... Let's just say I have to be careful taking logs in 3rd gear. I usually do them in 4th now. Last time I tried it was 60 farenheight, 2100rpm 3rd gear, I punched it and I spun until I had to let off because I was starting to drift from my lane. Later I checked the log and it looks like I hit 6000 rpm. If I had to guess I spun from 3000 -6000 rpm in 3rd. Dry, clean road with 265 PSS. |

Id say I usually see best results from MAP2 15-17psi, when vs MAP5.. Ive always thought going meth wouldn't be worth it boost wise on stock turbos for me.. especially if I can run e30 MAP7 at 21max consistently. but then again cooling is nice. But for me with the FBOs, all trims etc all looking good so I think it would be just easier to buy upgraded fuel pump then go turbo. Thats when ill have to decided meth or PI i suppose..

Thnx for the info, im considering the 2gal tank and CM10 Nozzle as it seems the most used with N55. I have the VRSF Chargepipe and believe there is only one bung to utilize for a nozzle. This seems like the best route to squeeze a little more power from the car before going pure stg 2 and a clutch

Yes, but Im not sure if the extra power would be worth the buy if I am already maxing the stock turbo out either way. I guess I feel it will be better to wait for meth when I can get my moneys worth on bigger turbo in which I may forego meth and run just PI and ethanol. Im still learning so def correct me if my thinking on this is wrong

It certainly is, but hell its gonna get swapped eventually lol. So for your meth setup, both nozzles are on the CP? Is anyone doing PI meth? Can you run PI and CP/TB meth all at once? sorry for the dumb questions

Great idea with the led behind the tank tied into the trunk lid. I thought about going with the 2 gallon option because it offers a nice place to mount the pump with minimal interior mounting. |

Oh really... i am pretty sure my VRSF CP only has one bung... im gonna have to verify tomorrow. How often have you read of this...? Could this be due to the mixture or type of methanol used..?
