I think this looks great, offset on these is hard to find as we know. I want a slightly taller tire then the 225/40 so i've been thinking 235/40 or 245/40. The 225/40 is 25.1 diameter, 235/40 is 25.4 and 245/40 is 25.7 which might be more then i'm comfortable with. 19x8 et42 with 235/35 is 25.5 and that might be where i land. BMW didn't do us any favors in the wheel department for the 2 series...

No, they did not. Unfortunately I did not realize that till after I had already decided on and purchased one. I spent many, many hours reading through these threads to find something I was sure was going to just bolt on and work. I'm glad I was able to do that, so cheers to all the folks here at Bimmerpost for sharing thier experiences with the community!

My car has square setup with 19x8.5" ET42 all round.
Front tyres 235/35, rear tyres 255/35. Both these sizes are taller than original fitment. No rubbing, no spacers. Stock M sport suspension. There's enough room at the front struts to fit a 255 tyre, which is what I'll be doing when renewing rubber. Last edited by Twoforty; 01-08-2023 at 09:47 PM.. Reason: Pic |
