KDs contract was built for this purpose otherwise why not sign a longer term deal with GS? And why does he feel he might need to opt out after a year? It's happened a millions times in any pro sport

Not really
People still talk about the pistons walking off the court when bulls swept them in 1991, on route to their 1st title The "Decision" will always be over LeBron, no matter how many rings he wins He did his hometown a good one by getting that chip after 52 years, but I think they'll always be that ....but....next to him when discussing GOAT, that and the 4 finals losses |

What's up with all the hate? Who cares what team KD picks. The man is a free agent and can go wherever he likes. What is the dream most athletes hope to achieve when they play professional sports? To be a champion, right? To make big bucks, right? Well going to GS seems to fulfill this equation so can you blame the guy for wanting to be a champ now rather than later? Look at iverson, all the talent in the world, but his teams never had the winning formula to ever get him a ring. I'd be fearful if I knew that I was a great player but never had the right formula (teammates) to be a champ. It takes a great team to win championships, not one single player or two. So congrats to KD for getting the opportunity to play with a great team!

If GS doesn't win next year it will because the NBA is rigged and the refs took it away from them. There really couldn't be any other logical explanation for it.

Lebron has structured his deals the exact same way with the Cavs. He just opted out after the championship and signed again.

Warriors have added the best free agent available but have actually gotten worse.
No more Bogut, no more Barnes and possibly no more Livingston. that means lost of defensive starting center, loss of 4th option starter but elite defensive wing in Barnes. losing livingston you lose a 6'7 PG who is the best post up player on the team, who is automatic from midrange. Lets see the bench depth now as only iggy off the bench is a real difference maker. Durant is a tall wing, not a post player. now GS has no post presence, the exact reason the lost to the Cavs after Bogut went down..... |

Let's not forget that the Warriors drafted a freak of a center that will be a shot blocker from day one.
And they got zaza lol. They know how to put a team together damn my poor Lakers. Last edited by kprocivic; 07-05-2016 at 12:36 AM.. |

Cant blame him. All people care about is rings. He can be the greatest Thunder player ever with no rings, or go get some rings and be considered a top 10 player.
No brainer here. And with the way the salary cap is going up each year, the Warriors will have more than enough to keep their stars. Its the bench guys and role players that they wont be able to keep. Cap went up ~$25 mill this year, and will go up about the same next year. |

You do realize that the NBA took "ownership" of that team at the time.
