You know the reason they do this - they want you to come in and have services performed on your car. Some of us are under warranty, so their ploy doesn't work. But for the rest, I'm sure they're going to recommend something.
This advertising is working - it has people talking on here and I'm sure it drives traffic into their service department.

As stupid as this whole things sounds I have a friend who is a very very technical compter server geek who yesterday asked if I figured out how to change the time in my BMW. He said it took him > 30 minutes on Sunday how to do it. He could rebuild and reconfigure compter servers in less time.
