This is weird.. I contacted my dealership service department just now. Keep in mind my 2014 M235i was produced on 12/2013... He said that the only recall that is available for my car is a "battery cover replacement", nothing else. I asked about this fuel pump issue and he said that it isn't necessarily production date related, it could be factory related also, and more specific to the VIN as well. So I guess even though my car falls in this production period and there hasn't been a listed recall for me yet, I should be in the clear?? I will continue to monitor this as it may be too early for the dealerships to receive this specific information yet, and if I get a notice in the mail, I will know that I fall into the recall category. Either way this is weird and I am still worried about this. What do you guys think?

The notice clearly says they will not begin recall until April 30th. I doubt anybody in that date range will have a recall alert on their Vin number yet. I have a 1/14 build month so I am sure I will be getting a letter. How many miles you have on your 2er?

Sorry it happened before the recall. I only have 3700 miles on my 228i so hopefully it will be ok until it gets replaced. The few folks on here that have had it go out have been over 8000 miles I think. Guess having my car sit in thr body shop for 3 months may not have been all bad.

When the BMW Roadside tow truck came. He literally drug my car up the ramp, front splitter grinding the whole way up against the diamond plate floor and all....it's not on springs, it's stock ride height. |

Ooh...that angle is bad. I dont think there is any way to make it up without a little scraping. They need to design tow trucks better to accomodate sporty low cars.
