I noticed that these will be the same part for F8x cars. Not looking forward to the M tax carrying over to the f22
Regardless, I think this will be the winner of the segment.

Well, in the past Vorshlag plates have been the same price for M or none M. The only added cost would be for the stock profile springs(none standard upper perch).

I'm not sure the F22/F30 main plate will work for the F8x cars. Though the strut tower is the same, there are a few extra parts bolted to the top mount that don't exist in the non-M3/M4 cars. There is a huge girdle that spans the width of the car like a strut tower brace, but much more significant.
Below is the top of the M3 strut mount. Note the three bolts attaching the strut mount to the strut tower brace that is also tied into the fender bolt at 11 o'clock in the photo. Below is the top of an M235i/F22. You can see that the minimal strut tower brace only attaches to the strut mounting top at a single bolt. These are the cars that have similar compatibility to the F22 and will either work out of the box, or with minimal changes like spring perch diameter for the MINIs, or additional or fewer perimeter bolts for some other models. • 1' F20 • 1' F21 • 2' F22 • 2' F23 • 2' F45 Active Tourer • 3' F30 • 3' F31 • 3' F34 GT • 3' F35 • 4' F32 • 4' F33 • 4' F36 • X1 F48 • MINI F55 • MINI F56

We welcome it. But you have to bring the car to our shop for measurement and installation. No exceptions.

Testing is looking good. Going to make one small change to the production run to allow a little quicker machine time.

I know that when you replace rubber strut-mounts with heim joints, it will create more noise, but how much for you guys? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Just wait. Everyone else has problems. Don't waste your money until we figure out if Vorshlag got it right or not.

How much were the kmacs? Btw running BMW Meth kit with twin CM5 nozzles and boost juice. Had to raise spray to start at 8psi to avoid bogging. Seen logs of 17psi in lower gears...haven't had the chance to test higher gears yet besides dyno. What did you set your meth parameters at and the fail safe boost? I'm at 45 for meth add and scaling at 60. Failsafe at 18.5psi. |
