For what it's worth, I'm one of the admins for our local Golf R club and I'd boot the offender without a warning only if he/she was an otherwise non-contributing lurker or obvious spammer.

For any of the regular established members, there's no way I wouldn't delete and give them a warning first instead of an outright immediate ban.
