Revamping this thread... anyone have any luck finding a front tow hook cover painted online somewhere? eBay? My SA wants to charge me $20 for the piece and $50 for the paint +tax.

Had mine fall off (or stolen) recently and was quoted the same from a BMW dealership.
I opted to buy the unpainted parts and tried to contact some local repair shops to get them painted. After no luck, I painted them myself with color matched spray can. Doesn't look too bad even though I've never attempted something similar before. |

Sounds like something that the people who make the painted reflector covers would be into. Has anybody polled them to see if they offer these (seems they have the color matching down pretty good, per the reports I see online).

IND does offer painted tow hook covers on their site but not for the 2 series. Even if they did, the cost is $75 so pretty much same as the dealer once you add S&H.
