The 2'er bone stock is indeed bland and pedestrian in appearance. Needs appearance mods big time imo. Doesnt have the sexy or sizzle of a 4'er with M Performance bits.

In my case, once I put the black, staggered VMR's on my Melbourne Red? I cant believe the # of compliments I've gotten on the car.

Seriously, as much as on my M3's or even more.

I've owned BMW's for 25 years and the frequency of guys stopping to talk about the car has taken me aback. It's all good right?

Not terribly so, but I could feel that the car was indeed more a tourer, as others said. Oh, it was a convertible...
Convertibles are always softer riding than coupes. Too firm of a suspension accentuates convertible body flex versus a non convertible. Also, naturally a longer wheelbase car is likely to ride better than a shorter wheelbase car, but settings are the real determinate of 2 series vs 4 series debate.

If it was an Xdrive it would be much softer for sure. Regardless of m-sport

Maybe the 4 has better details but I think the basic lines and dimensions of the 2 are better. I like cleaner cars with less distracting details so my tastes lean more towards the 2 series.
