My cheat sheet of development projects surprisingly does list the exhaust for a 228i as 'planned' (honestly wasn't expecting it to be there) but I haven't seen a 228i development car in the shop so it's safe to say its quite a ways off yet. Minimum of 3 months out, probably longer as I don't know where that falls in the list of priorities.

Also, keep an eye out for the Arqray Exhaust. I saw their test videos for the 228 just a few months back |

I'm running a M135 OEM exhaust with a resonator delete. Not super loud but noticeable and makes an angry crackling sound when upshifting

Hi Everyone,
I am the only user on here using a F30 328i M Performance exhaust on my 228i M-Sport, it was a very easy install and took 30min to have it all done. I have attached my page link and some videos of it. Its a nice clean sound not crazy loud. Thanks, http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1041864 |

I love the sound of the 328 exhaust you fitted on your car, but I'd still rather spend that much for a direct-fit that needs no cutting. It may come down to that though if a Dinan or BMW option isn't released by late spring/early summer next year.

The M performance and the Dinan exhaust both require cutting for every other vehicle that they've made exhaust systems for so I'm sure the 228i will be no different.
