What is that 18" rims with 30,35's....uuggg. BMW please give us more rubber on a 18, 19" rim. I'm tired of these mini wheels and mainly on their X cars.

match a Merc in terms of what? The only thing you can compare this to is the new CLA, in which case the BMW is much nicer inside. The CLA looks pretty nice outside but the inside is very cheap looking. And considering you see the inside of your car a lot more than the outside that is a huge factor in buying. I will wait to make any final judgements until the 2 series GC comes out as it will be the direct competitor. I have a feeling the A3/S3 Sedan will be the loser in the German compact 4 door coupe battle.

The new 2er is going to be awesome. The M2 will be even better. I am glad, as there hasn't been much from BMW to excite me lately, besides the 1M.
I just hope they build enough M2s that a normal person can get one.

That's because the size of the 2, is where the E46 was.

Just go look at photos of the M135i. Looks like the front end of the M235i is going to be very close. Same with the interior (other than the steering wheel). In fact, go study the M135i and just picture a coupe rear end, instead of the hatch and you will have something very close to the M235i. I would be very surprised if they differ very much, based on the photos above.

This makes me think the M2 isn't happening.
Given that the M135i is already a high-performer (near-1M, for less $$) and that it shares a base engine config with the coming M3 (N55 vs. S55). I'm not sure there's room for another spec between the two... Further, they're already spanking the competition (RS3, etc.), so it's not clear to me that they need to throw an LSD, more power, etc. to sell more cars this side of the M3. |

Sorry, I didn't mean to say they would be exactly the same, but the look would be similar. The lights do differ, but they are still similar in design.

I'm still not digging that steering wheel or iPad jammed in the dash navigation screen. I really dislike the new interior of the F30. Plus it will probably have the crappy new electric steering. Not a fan.
