I plan on keeping my '17 M240i at least through the end of the 8 year extended warranty (~2024). So, I'm not in a hurry. I'm enjoying my 2!
For 2+ years, I have been planning on European Delivery of an LCI G22 M440i in 2024-2025. So, I have been anxiously waiting to see the M440i for 2+ years. What a disappointment! I can't get past that front end. I saw a few in person at the dealer the other day. The interior is nice, but the exterior is UGLY! It would have been much better if it had a front end similar to the new 3 or 5. And, to add insult to injury, BMW discontinued ED. So, now I'm waiting to see the new 2... I hope they don't screw up that one too.

I really like the Isle of Man Green color available on the new M4.
Would I buy one just because I like the color? No. Er, probably not. Well, okay, maybe. |

You can apparently still enjoy the Volvo ED experience. I don't know about MB.
It used to be that Volvo included two round-trip air tickets with the deal. Round trip to Sweden, though. One of the advantages of ED was that you could drive the car around Europe, with insurance included, originally for a month, later for two weeks. In my case, I had a month's worth of work in Europe, so that was a great perk. Oh well, I guess I will have to rent a car next time, and it will likely not be a BMW. |

I got upgraded to the E Class a few years ago in Vienna. There were three of us and we had to drive clear across Austria and through a piece of Italy to Gorizia, a town on the Slovenian border. The trip back was through the night. The E Class was perfect!

The fun of picking the car up in Sweden, getting a tour of the plant, enjoying the typical Swedish lunch we were served after the tour, and the convenience of having my own car in Europe for six weeks helped to make that trip more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been.

Perhaps it will grow on me. For now I am left wondering how a company that could produce a car as beautiful as the E9 could now produce the new 4 series.

We just picked up the M240i that we ordered in August. It's the size car my husband wanted, but yikes, it doesn't ride anything like our X5! It's very firm...I'll stick to the X5 for long trips, lol. But it is fast and the handling is tight! He likes it. It looks and sounds aggressive. If you're looking for a little more comfort, the 4 series has to be an upgrade on ride and more bells & whistles are available. The 240i doesn't have blind spot detection, which I really wanted hubby to have, and the ambient lighting we paid extra for isn't like the type in the X5, 5 series, etc. It just has an overhead light (white or orange) that shines down on the center console, and wheel well lights. (There's no outline of light around the dash and doors. It's definitely missed in the 2 series)

MissVito Thanks for input. I'm really surprised at the side track conversations instead of sharing personal experiences/opinion comparison on m240 vs new 430/m440. Since there are no Youtube videos on this back to back comparison.

You may be hard pressed to find any, those are in 2 different classes.
