I think you will find the power output close, prob more linear on the race gas. Meth is more on and off, the real limit of course is the turbo.

That makes sense. Although I was hoping that meth would be a bit more juice due to the cooling properties.
But I ran race has the other day and it was pretty brutal. Fun. |

UPDATE:
I went in to get my meth kit installed today. After mounting the tank, some custom fabwork (aluminum plate behind the tank) to retain the trunk liner, routing the lines to the front, installing the FSB, nozzles etc....the shop owner goes to set up the meth map in my JB4. Guess what? Because I (idiot) left the cable tucked under the cowl where the JB4 is, the USB was all corroded and even after cleaning it up it wouldn't connect. Aaaaarghhhhhh!!!!! All installed with Boost juice in the tank and we couldn't set it up and do the dyno runs. Idiot I Am. Ordered another cable from BMS immediately. Going back next Wednesday to finalize the install and put down some hp numbers. Wish me luck guys. |

So my meth kit was installed last week but we couldn't interface with the JB4. It might have been the BMS DATA cable...so I got a new one AND the Bluetooth. Fast forward to today, tried the cable. It didn't work AGAIN. Then installed the JB4 Bluetooth. It was getting 12V. And set the droid parameters as instructed...made sure firmware was up to date on droid too. Pressed "Connect"..,received error message... "Error, could not connect to JB4). Checked connections, disconnected, reconnected, turned car off/on... Followed Burger instructions...nothing worked. Could it be the port? |

I installed BMS meth kit few days ago. 2 5cm nozzles. Since Oregon only has 91/92 I ran about 16PSI. Car is pretty awesome with meth on. When I daily I change back to map 2. Other then that I need to upgrade turbo and get flash tune.

How did you set it up? The shop that did the install was supposed to set it up, but with all the JB4 connection issues, I dont think I'll be able to make it back. I'll have to do the setup myself. |

Cool. I heard that there's something about 40% something or other?
Which priming instructions did you use? |

good thing replacing the PIC is easy: just pry the PIC out of the socket with a small screwdriver... (or use a chip puller) first: make sure you have full access. take the board completely out of any enclosure, disconnect all cables, etc. next: take it slow. do a little prying at each end, bracing the chip as you pry to avoid bending the pins. kinda like torquing down a head in reverse finally: press the new PIC into the socket with firm but even pressure so the pins run in squarely. make sure the notch on the PIC is aligned with the notch on the socket HTH |

UPDATE: Been running local with meth and JB4 set on Map3. Have the additive on 45, scaling at 60, fail safe at 18.5. Haven't had the chance to get above 3rd gear (8at), but putting down ~16psi. Meth kicks in at 8psi to avoid bogging. Using boost juice.
Car pulls hard at full boost but straight race gas felt a bit quicker. Not sure. Going to try 100 octane and run map7 this weekend. Should I raise failsafe to 19psi? |

Question: I run boost juice with is ~49% methanol. Have you guys run higher meth mixtures? Was thinking of buying a drum of methanol and mixing my own with distilled water.
Please share your experiences. Thanks! |

Your dentist is going to hate you - have you seen what meth does to your teeth after extended use?

After several thousand miles with meth injection and Pure Stage 2....it's pretty awesome. And you don't use as much as you might think.
