Yeh tires are different I think between the models that's why I was hesitant but still wanted to say that staggered summers RFT were a thing. I have the Bridgestone Potenza RFT summer tires. They are staggered and on my M-Sport. Came like that when I bought the car from BMW.

Also, 2PG results in a staggered setup with 436M wheels according to the order guide. Again, i'm basing all of this on the order guide. If someone has a newer version with different information then i stand corrected. I'm confident that 2PG = non run-flats, increased speed limiter, staggered setup and PSS. Lastly, please limit conversation to M235i x-drive. Situation could be different for different model. |

I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just pointing out it's also possible. But anyone who has more specific knowledge should chime in

Please look at the order guide. 2PG deletes 258 which are run-flat. "2PG will delete 258 from the order" "258 Runflat tires"

I'm sorry if I added any confusion to the thread. Like someone mentioned earlier maybe ordering xDrive is just completely different. So I'm not sure. Again apologize if I threw anyone off.

No apology here. Just wanted to clarify that I was merely stating how surprised I was to find out that the M235i X-Drive "mixed" meant staggered tire sizes. A good departure from the norm I've seen from BMW or any other automobile manufacturer of all-wheel drives.

drexplode is correct. 2pg gives you staggered M PSS's on xDrive cars.
bimmercar- If you're super concerned about the dealership finding your tune, go Dinan. However, the JB4 once removed is untraceable. To my knowledge, both will remove the top speed limiter. |

You should be able to take this to the dealer and say "Look, this is what we agreed to. If the car comes with all weather run flats, can you guys make this right?"

I had to re-order cause of this, I wouldn't settle for the crappy all-season RFTs with the slower speed limit |

Nothing new for BMW, my buddy has an 06 e90 xDrive and it came from factory with 225/255 tires. All the X5s have come with staggered tires for as long as I can remember

problem is the dealer is not making *that* much over invoice, if they give me summer tires and staggered wheels, they gonna lose money. and I am already too impatient to wait for another ordered car....

I agree. What's the concern over the speed limiter? Where do you go over 130? I only saw about 120 last trip to Mosport.

If you choose to accept the incoming car then I recommend to bring it to their attention ASAP. You have a chance to add port installed accessories so maybe they make it up to you with aluminum pedals or kidney grilles FOC or discount off something else. |

Per my indy BMW guy, who is also a Dinan dealer, the M235i tune does remove the top speed limiter. I suppose the F22 series could be different, but the N55 tune removed it for the other series when it was released.
http://www.bmwblog.com/2012/01/17/di...now-available/ Edit: Then again, looking deeper, the 135 tune removed it for MT RWD, but left it in place for AT or xDrive vehicles.

As for the top speed limiter, I stand corrected on tunes (jb4 or dinan) removing the limiter. Autobahn goers and people who track their cars would care about this. |

the run flats seem like a bad idea... i already had 2 patches from nails in my tires on the summer super sport tires. one front one rear and they patched it no issues. i dont know if you can repair run flats? and if you can is it worth the trade off of ride quality, speed limiter and handling? for me no but to each his own. the car is legit with summer tires IMO. worst case if it bothers you that much after you get the car just buy a set of rims and summer tires and remount the OEM when you lease is up and sell your rims on ebay. best thing to do since you saved cash off msrp and chances are you will not even notice the run flats when you get the car unless you track it and like someone already said you wont be reaching 155mph even on the track.
