Finally had a warm enough day for a top down drive in the country today. First one of the new year and I even managed to get out on both BMW bikes as well.

Aren't these ports waterproof?

Eh. Who knows. But coffee, soda, etc could still mess with the contacts inside. No easy way to clean. I won't use it often, but if I do, I'd like it to work.

I got quoted $750 from Performance Technic in Fremont, CA. They look like a very professional and high end BMW shop. The quote was for DINAN springs + bumps stops + alignment. Will be setting up an appointment sometime next week.

I added a microfiber steering wheel cover. Hand sanitizer will ruin leather very quickly. My kid's X1 wheel is destroyed by it. My 228ixCV has a cover and although it doesn't feel great it will be on for the duration.

Too close to the sidewall to plug, unfortunately.
(some might, but I wouldn’t in this case)

That is a very good price. You might want to give Simon and Orhan a call at European Werkstatt in Walnut Creek, those guys do amazing work for fair prices. They took care of all my BMW needs when I used to live in the Bay area.

Garage List
2017 BMW M240i  [9.00]
Had a run-in with a brief but damaging hailstorm last week while driving on the interstate. The entire event was over in about 7 minutes, but the damage was done. I found about 6 spots on my hood, 6 or 7 on the roof, and a couple on the rear deck. I found a local paintless dent repair shop and dropped by last week for an estimate. He used an LED light and I was shocked at how many dents actually showed up. Over a dozen on the hood, the same on the roof, back deck, fenders. He even showed me a couple of spots repaired before I bought my CPO.. spots that were rushed, to say the least. We negotiated a cash deal and I dropped it off this morning. I just got it back and WOW! I am very pleased with the results. He went over the whole car and also sorted out the previous stuff. It looks like new again, I can't find a bad spot anywhere on the car.

Turbo blanket is now installed. Did it to lower the temps under the hood; might consider an intake down the line.

Received the LCI LED tail lights, LED reverse light bulbs, and white LED blinker bulbs. Might install them later today.

I love hearing stories like this where something could be terrible but works out.

Changed the diff oil before the day's track activities. The diff whine got quieter, but still louder than the engine.

So, which springs you go with? I'd love to hear your impressions on MSS.

With only 15k miles I decided that the oem struts still had plenty of life in them although I am sure that the B6 struts would be a significant improvement.
Did you do the MSS springs yet? I'm on stock dampers too. I'd like to know how they helped your car perform in all adaptive modes and any drawbacks if any.
