OK, it's driving me crazy.
Emailed support which told me to start over again from step one. Essentially what I've been doing with the same results. Still get the same message when I try to code: "connection to the adapter is too unstable to code," and it instructs me to disconnect. I would like to try the "slow communication option." But I guess I just must be an idiot as I cannot find the setting in the app. "In the lower right corner of the app you will see kind of a round gear, click on that and you will see it, default is set to off, turn it on and . . ." This is what my app looks like. No "round gear." This is probably something simple I'm missing . . . [IMG][/IMG] |

The 3 dots at the top right corner is the icon for "options" or "menu" in Android. Looks like you might have tried that already, but just in case you didn't... What does it show when you click on that?

My version is different, like the above poster says try hitting the three dots. If that fails, trying running the demo mode to see if after it initializes, the icon appears. I guaranty its in there somewhere. keep us posted plese.

The problem is that there is nothing in it other than selecting either Vgate iCar WiFi or blue tooth. I'm beginning to think that this is a problem with this Android version of the app . . . ? |

Maybe you need to have the OBDII wireless module connected to the car and paired to the phone prior to getting into the option? Just thinking out loud here as I have the Carly app. |

I've tried everything and the fact that I get all the way to connecting, reading the ECU, reading the coding data, selecting changes, to have it constantly fail in addition to not having any "settings" options leads me to believe that it's a problem with my version of the app. |

This is the response I got from BimmerCode:
"it is a problem of the adapter. The iCar 2 Wifi version does just not reach the necessary sending speed in some cases. I am not sure if it is the specific firmware or a hardware issue, but I would recommend replacing it with a Bluetooth version or a newer WiFi adapter." SO . . . hmmmm, not so sure about blue tooth after reading through this thread ... the Vgate iCar Pro Wi-Fi doesn't get rave reviews (& good God I hate those LED lights but I guess that's what electrical tape is for). Are there better options that work with BimmerCode? **************** update ************** Just received from BimmerCode : "I would recommend the Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth version." So I just ordered the BT version & will post results. Last edited by ChrisFulton; 03-23-2018 at 09:18 AM.. |

*** Update***
Got it to work with the Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth. Coded a few things & will do more after I research various options, etc. I was coding with the car running. Coded a few thing in Instrument Cluster & car continued to run. Went on and coded a few things in Headunit & the same. Coded a few things in the Front Electronic Module and the car shut down after coding. When I started it back up it idled really roughly for about 5 seconds but then seemed to settle down. I also noticed that the time was missing from instrument cluster. Guess I just need to reset it? |

Just coded for the first time. Everything works great except Sports Display on a 2014 M6 Gran Coupe. Don’t know how this isn’t on standard. But the display shows up but nothing happens while driving. Deactivated and reactivated. Same thing. Anyone have same issues?

So i coded my 2015 335 for the first time an hour ago. Everything seemed to work fine but when i shut my car off and then turned it back on i got an M550d logo on my instrument cluster when i had programmed it to say M Performance. What the heck? Then i tried to change the logo to M3 to see what would happen and it shows a weird looking circle, not even sure what it is.
Any idea why it wont program it to actually show what I am selecting? |

Ha ha, so i sent an email to bimmercode to see what the issue was. His answer was that the software in my car doesn't contain the necessary graphics and is falling back to the M550d graphic instead. He suggested having the firmware updated on the instrument cluster.
Is that something I need to go to the dealership to do? |

Don't try to assign the memory key when you are 'within' the sport gauges. Go 'up' one menu level, make sure the cursor is on the 'sport gauges' line, then hold down the memory key you want to assign to sport gauges.

Can I code my 2014 f30's fog lights to turn on automatically with headlights so I dont have to turn them on every single time?
I have never done coding before and do you have to buy the app on android too? |
