lets see new spark plugs at 42,000 miles engine was rough idling when cold. problem solved with the new plugs. what a pita with all the crap you have to pull off to get to the plugs. Not a hard job at all just a lot of cosmetic stuff to remove. tomorrow replace all the driver side rear inner panel mounts that broke when fixing he seat belt the other day

The backside of the front trim is flat so if you wanted to install just the front piece, you could.

I scheduled its first service under my ownership for Wednesday. Hope it doesn't break the bank. The car I bought didn't come with much in the way of service records so I'm getting an inspection as well. It'll be rolling to 50k miles and I figure it probably only needs an oil change, tire rotation and balance, and an engine air filter (fires here in CO were gnarly). Asking them to check for time chain stretch. Anything else?

Installed half of my M Performance brake kit (the fronts) because the dude I bought the rear rotors from on e-bay either didn't ship them or shipped them late and has ignored my requests for tracking number.
Front's (red on BSM car) look awesome--they almost completely fill the inside of my 18s. Pics when I get the rears on too. |

I ordered this ebay lip for the non-M front bumper. First one I've seen, and the price is low enough that I'm okay with taking a gamble. It's allegedly "real" carbon fiber, but I'm a bit skeptical. Also it doesn't seem to be flat bottomed, and it may call for mounting with just double sided tape, so it probably is purely cosmetic. I might have to chassis mount an APR splitter underneath it to make it more functional someday. Also dropped off a set of forged SSR's I bought from a user here to be polished up and prepped for mounting tires. The two of those together should make for a fairly substantial update to the cars visuals. Last edited by 230iZTR; 09-01-2020 at 06:23 PM.. |

Was hoping someone would make a V Style lip or something similar but nope. At least the one you showed follows the contours. May just have to break down and buy the AC carbon flippers but so much money for a wear item. |

Personally I'd have preferred an M4 GTS style unit with a lip and an adjustable splitter underneath. That way I could take off the splitter when I'm daily driving it, have it on with low downforce when I go to shows and meets for style, and can have it fully extended for maximum aero when I'm doing high performance driving. But I don't think there's anything on the market for this car quite like that.

Just had a big brake kit installed, stainless brake lines, brake fluid flush, oil and filter change, charge pipe and FMIC installed.
I'm unfortunately almost 70 years old and and lack a garage so I took it to a local independent shop in Costa Mesa, CA. Bullet Performance did a great job and they treated me like I owned the shop. I really enjoy giving good reviews when they are deserved and couldn't be happier with their service, I will be back. |

Do you mind sharing the price? I bought one recently for $1,895 shipped, a price that I found quite acceptable.

Generally, good shops are hard to find, and so when we do find one, it behooves us to share our experiences with everyone else.
I've been in this game since the mid-60s, and I believe this approach helps to raise the overall level of quality in all of the shops out there.
