Man, there are a lot of people on this thread getting their panties in a wad because of the M badging. M badge this, dental floss that. Who cares if they badge it up or even what they choose to call it. The vehicle specs have and will always speak to the car's pedigree. Just relax, give up the idea that they will make an E(insert number) direct replacement, and buy one.

Around 6K more than a 135i is not what I call hefty premium for a car which has brakes, tires and wheels worth almost that much let alone lsd. And I really summarize here. So just don't exaggerate to make a point. 1M was the best priced M car since long time and premium over a 135i was really more than acceptable. Financially speaking whoever buys a brand new M car with his own money is an idiot which makes a good chunk of this forum including yourself and myself. At least sometimes some of those idiots get lucky and loose nothing or even sell their used cars with a profit We still need a M2, BMW needs it too. This should just be the beginning, a base for a more exciting M car to follow. And as long as BMW continues to make great M cars there will thankfully be idiots around the World who will be ready to pay the price that it deserves. It is sad that an enthusiast like yourself won't be among the stupid side of the car buying population that we call as enthusiasts (with a job and pay check).

I hope that is not the same NAV/I drive screen as in the Z4. Ours started to rattle under 5k miles. I hate the pop up screen. Seems too much like and ooops after-thought. Might just save me $2,200 in options.

You are asking who takes pics of a car like this and posts it? Disrespectful clowns. The car was secured in a tent with security placing a sticker over camera lenses, but leave it to the clowns to act like children and lose self control.

In the meantime, before the M235i's reviews start rolling out you can read this: BMW M135i review with LSD installed. Mind you, this is not an in-depth review, just a short one. (Read at the end of the article about the LSD)

Do you really believe that someone who wanted to photograph the back end of the car couldn't have taken at least one pic that presented a full on view (even from an oblique angle) of the rear of the car? It doesn't seem odd to you that there is an interior shot that's reasonably clear and yet not one from the driver's vantage point? That, with BMW representatives plainly standing at the door. Did James Bond take these pics with his belt buckle hidden cam? Quote:

- This car is looking good! Unfortunately I don't think the performance will be as under the radar as the 135i. I loved the fact that a lot of folks didn't even know what a 1 series was, let alone the fact that it was probably the best performing non M car in the line up. Ohh well, it's going to be sweet anyway.
- I really don't think any of you guys should be worked up or worried about the M235 diluting the M brand. The enthusiast on both sides will know and appreciate the difference. If a M2 does come around it will be special. I'm sure there will be some douche bags and posers trying to say their car M235 is an M.....but who cares? There will always be douche bags and posers....you cant stop them. That being said I liked the direction of the "is" models better than the using the M designation...but its a minor gripe. - I don't like the little M badge on the fender but it can stay. However, the ugly reflector on the bumper HAS GOT TO GO! Aftermarket guys if you are reading this, GET TO WORK on a solution.

I like everything apart from:
- headlights and grilles: too feminine/weird shape. - wheels: never liked them - ///M235i badge: needs to go Apart from that I think it looks a lot better than 1er coupe; especially the rear lights and interior look great.
