I’m so jealous! I feel inadequate. I experiment with cooking. It tastes good but doesn’t always look good. Chassis gets an A+ For presentation and diversity in types/ethnicity of dishes.

...or a nice cardiologist, like I did around that same age. Eating a few too many cheeseburgers in my younger days resulted in a 7-week stay in a regional trauma center, multiple surgical procedures, two rides of the lightning (heart paddles) while awake, and finally being released to go home with a 24/7 IV infusion pump of heart meds hanging around my neck for the next two years.

Let me know if anyone wants me to post pictures of my "yummy" steamed broccoli plate to the breakfast thread.....

Just had pollock fish stew that partner made with canned skinned tomatoes and cooked with rosemary served with rice. Similar to cod or haddock but with a milder taste and great if you're on a calorie controlled diet.

Burgers? Hardly ever eat them and when doing a grille stick with chicken, sausages and the odd pork. Not having steak now also.

Right, fortunately for me I made some changes before hitting that point, and can still enjoy in moderation. But the escalating concerns about health as you get to mid-40’s+ are real. Earlier one can correct bad habits the better. Less damage done and less of a struggle to change when older. Easier said than done, of course.

Ill act like an adult for a second....all my life I ate and drank anything and everything I wanted. My metabolism was high and I never gained weight or had any ailments.
Fast forward to 45 years old (2019)
-High blood pressure that they can't get to a stable safe number. 4 pills a day
-Bone on bone, knee and hip joint. Likely needing replacement from 20 yrs of BMX
-Gained 15 pounds during COVID that I can't lose b/c I can't excercise b/c of above injury
-Overall just feel like sh!t about myself.

Just be careful, I never thought I would feel like this but it truly happened over night and taking care of myself probably would have reduced much of it
