+1 this is the first I've seen of the rear. I like the brake lights !
Would like to see the diffuser - hopefully that's soon !

I hope the diffuser is a departure from the M135i's, which is rather odd. The signs are good so far though |

I'm curious about the diffuser as well - because the body panels are different than the M135, I would think we would have to get something different no matter what.

I also think it will be an all-new diffuser. October 25th can't come soon enough.. |

Makes sense or me - how can it be an "M"235 without having at least that. EDIT - I meant the M235 only

It happens then it happens, otherwise all I see is wishful thinking here and a product which is very little to make it any different, different than a M135i and a 435i, other than its size and body style. And I do care because it matters to me when BMW launches new small coupes. You prefer to think that I bash it because I own a 1M; as a matter of fact, I don't bash it, I just voice a slight disappointment because it is not as distinct as I would like it to be. You don't like what I say, don't like it, but last time I checked this was a public forum for people to post whatever they feel right; and I feel that there is a lot wrong about BMWs getting too similar to each other and when someone with zero notion (not you) tries to put this car in the same basket with a car like 1M this is a bit beyond acceptable, yes!

I think it looks great and hopefully Alumac is spot on that it has full M development and we'll see a great little coupe. With the front facia and rear I think it makes the 1M look dated also, and hopefully we'll see used 1M we can buy at a discount to track!!

There will be practically nobody selling their 1Ms because of this car, or new 2 series in general; maybe because of a interesting M2 if that happens, yes then. So, who wants to see 1M prices drop might still wait. If you think there is anything outdated about the looks of 1M that is because you are not driving one every day on public roads. It is fresh and when newer cars like 2 series and M4 continue to use design themes which were introduced by 1M it will simply continue to remain fresh long time and attract people's attention whereever you go. It is the benchmark M car, a prototype study of the M division in limited numbers for a new generation of M (and obviously M Perf.) cars, and untill this thread I thought that was more than obvious already. What they should inherit from 1M was nothing but its boldness and simplicity, I just don't see that happening with this M235i, not yet at least. For now, I see a crowd pleaser.
