I hate to ask, but you preferred the clear side markers to body colored? I haven't made the swap yet, so I'm curious.

Well, my options were clear, smoked and body color. I like the idea of some reflector there and the body color ones does away with that. Plus the additional cost. I could have gone with smoke but I’m not trying to black everything out on the car. On the 2018, most of the headlight guts are black with silver trim pieces. I thought the clear reflectors would go well with those pieces in the headlights as well as the mirror blinkers. It’s really a personal preference but I like them.

Just ordered my Apex Arc 8 wheels :)
Just ordered my Apex arc 8 and get them installed the weekend in Los Angeles. Looking to sell my OEM tires/wheels/TPSM soon if anyone is interested. Little late to this but last year I installed Dinan Powerpackage 1 - so much fun so far. I have a lot of friends who don't like BMW but its just so much fun to drive. Can't wait to have my new wheels installed and also new springs to lower the car a bit... so excited...

Had it towed due to a drivetrain malfunction. 👎🏻 Just had new spark plugs, an intercooler, and a chargepipe installed about a week ago, so it's been an expensive month for my car.

Yeah. I looked at mine in the garage today, just like every day; the charger is still doing its thing.
The weather for this coming week indicates that it will be a good time for me to take mine out for its monthly winter-exercise session. My main focus now is improving some things that will make the car easier to deal with at the track.

Installed a High Flow K&N air filter since getting a CAI for a 228i is worthless ... it breath better now, even the Mickey Mouse exhaust sounds better LOL!

It’s been years since I used k&n air filters but I remember they made the engine a little more noticeable and you could hear the turbo a bit more. Just be careful not to over oil your air filter and always let it dry a while before putting it back in. On the e39 m5 there were horror stories of people ruining their MAF sensors due to air filter oil. |

Installed M-Performance Shifter. Took seconds to do. Looking to do full Alcantara/M-Perf trim soon after installing exterior stuff. Anyone selling theirs for a discount?
Shifter feels great. Not really much shorter than stock. |

Got my convertible out of storage and drove it into the dealership for an oil change. Fist drive since Nov. Nice day and dry roads despite the 2 feet of snow we still have. Back in the garage again waiting for another warm sunny day. Spring has to show up eventually.

Very little difficulty. There are a few videos on YouTube to show you how to do it. You just gently pry the switch out of the dash with a trim tool, disconnect the plug, slowly and carefully release the tabs holding the switch together. The hardest part was releasing the two tabs holding the red button in while also pulling the part away. It took all of 15 minutes to do and that was with me being very careful not to break any tabs.

Sorry...I have checked to see if I could find the source for my red start button but no luck so far. Maybe others can? |
