It's perfectly normal, just make sure you transfer your o-ring over from the OEM chargepipe and that connection will tighten up substantially. We include the coupler necessary to combine the two pieces of the chargepipe

Is the o-ring in there? lol. How is it all buttoned up with the retaining clip? Mine went okay on the test fit.

The o-ring should be inside the female connection of the stock charge pipe. You reuse the stock o-ring. I have not disassembled mine yet but the metal retainer should just pull out at one end to release the connection. Reverse to reinstall using oem retainer clips. It probably wouldn't hurt to use a little lubricant like a silicone around the o-ring when reinstalling. I thought someone posted a vid. If i can find it ill post it again

Exactly. I couldn't test with the o-ring because it's still in the car. i just wanted to make sure that tolerance was acceptable before disassembling everything.

Perfectly normal, then
Got the FMIC installed and buttoned up and happy to report there were no real issues aside from some basic trim/fit to make everything like oem. Will install the support bracket later when I upgrade the Turbo to IC Charge Pipe along with installing my pure turbo inlet mod. Hopefully the guys at VRSF have been busy finalizing those pieces Can't really show you any more that confirms our experience other than this, Wiring in the JB4 and updating the firmware tomorrow and should have some thoughts on throttle response etc.

Yessir, its the 6" Race core. Figured since the before/after dyno they did showed such a great gain with little pressure drop, that this would be the best route for my long term plans with the car. Pretty excited, to say the least. I'm very happy with all of the VRSF bits, including their coated DP which also installed without a hitch, along with the wrinkle coated charge pipe which is pretty stealth as well. They've done a great job giving us great quality pieces with price point in mind. A few more weeks of painful waiting for the street sweepers to clean up the winter debris and it's game time

Pulled the radiator to look at opportunities to trim more of the rad shroud where it blocks off the top portion of the IC core. Thing is, it's such a dense unit that it really shouldn't effect performance, but I'd like to get some more air through that section later on once it's accessible as it can only help things. This would be the same for any of the taller cores, like the ER or Evo unit.. Will tackle that mod once the front end is back apart in a few months Should be firing it up this week, will try to get a bit of a detailed video to show final thoughts and first impressions. D

It runs, again! Should be able to get some logs out of it next week if I can sneak out of work.. Just a few more painful weeks and the tracks open up and roads are swept, the anticipation is just killing me.

i test fitted the 5" hd intercooler and it fits perfectly. Once the o-ring is placed on the intercooler, the fit to the stock chargepipe is perfect.
