I think I have demonoid invites too...but I use torrents.to Its awesome and is really good for searching and lets you customize the sites it searches. But I pretty much use it to compare Demonoid, Mininova, or BTJunkie, depending on where the most seeders are at is where I dl from.

Speed also depends on how many people are seeding. I've gotten up to 1.6 MBs on ilovetorrents.com.
