Help needed

Hi guys,

In a bit of a pickle and really need some help. Have a 2019 m240i. I bought a used gen 2 6 port pure 850 off Facebook marketplace.

I didn’t realize it was for a gen 2 when I bought it, it sucks but that’s life I guess. Is there any way at all I can make it work with my gen 1 b58 or am I completely SOL?

Try writing to the folks are Pureturbos. I'm sure they would have a better knowledge base than here. You don't need to mention that it was bought second hand, just keep it as a general question.

I highly doubt an adapter is possible, but they would know.

Yep, the first thing I did was email them. I haven’t heard back yet, but I’m not too optimistic lol. I’m trying to resell it in the meantime

Sell it.. I mean, you can just swap the gen 1 b58 for a gen 2.. that would work.

The flange would have to be modified for the Gen 2 turbo to fit on a Gen 1 B58. I’ve seen a Gen 2 tubular manifold flange tweaked to fit a Gen 1 car. Not sure what else would be needed to modify the Pure Turbo to fit on a Gen 1 car.
