Realistic power on 93 w/ pure 850 and injectors

Hi all,

Recently got a 2019 m240i. It currently has a catless DP and tune but is otherwise stock. Planning on getting the following installed this week:
  • Pure 850
  • VRSF Charge Pipes + Intercooler
  • Intake
  • B58 TU pump
  • Spool IFX150 injectors
  • Also doing a dual resonator delete

I’m looking to get a custom tune once all that is done and my tuner is saying I can expect in the 450-500 range on 93. Just looking for a second opinion, does this seem accurate? I was thinking I would at least be able to get in the 600-650whp range with the above mods on 93. Looking at other forum posts it seems like some people have been able to squeeze 600hp out of this motor even without the upgraded injectors. Waiting to hear back from a few other tuners as well but figured I’d post here in case anyone has some more insight.

To be completely honest, it’s not really about the power number for me, it’s just that 500whp would just be pretty disappointing considering the amount of money I’ve already invested on mods.

TIA

Are you sure you don't create a bottleneck using the B58 TU pump

I know the TU pump is not ideal, maybe at some point I will try to upgrade to a DS2 or DS2.5 HPFP but that’s probably not happening anytime soon tbh unless I get a good deal on a used one. In any case, I figured the DS2 or DS2.5 would make more sense if I was running an ethanol blend but I think I’d primarily be running 93

Youre not getting anywhere near 600whp with 93 and that hpfp.

500ish maybe depending on location and quality of 93..

You'll need ethanol.. tu is the huge bottleneck.. the stock injectors outflow the tu pump.. even a stage 2 hpfp.. fyi

Charge pipe wasnt needed.. you changed the intercooler in the intake or the heat exchanger up front?

What drivetrain and what trans? The main question is, how fast do you want to go in the 1/4mile?

Gotcha. In that case, would a DS25 hpfp get me to 600 on 93. Or is that also not realistic?

No
Youre octane limited.. you could try to run an insane amount of boost and no timing but it won't be safe really.

Give me more details on the car and how fast you want to go

600whp on 93 even with a Pure 850 will be tough without WMI, Nitrous, Port Meth, etc. My recommendation would be to use Boostane or Klotz Octane Booster to get the octane up for the convenience and cost. These cars don’t like pump gas unless you have 102 RON at the pump.

Forget the injectors and spend the money on a better HPFP and you'll be in a much better spot.
