F22 m235i Oil Feed Lines not Connecting
Recently did an OFHG replacement, all went well except for the oil feed lines.
Seems they are getting stuck upon entry into the oil cooler housing. I’ve tried many methods to force them up and in, but only resulted in damaged o-rings and snapped bolts. I verified the o-rings that came in the ECS kit are the same size as OEM. And I’m about out of ideas. Are the o-rings supposed to be fully inside the housing? Or does just adding the bolts tension make a seal? See image, as this is as far in as I can get them to go. Any help is appreciated, as I gotta wait 3 days for the connecting bolt to be delivered regardless 😵‍💫 |

The lines do not look straight or "square" to the housing, could be the issue. You did lubricate the O-rings with oil before you pushed it together, if not then that is your issue? Never fit O-rings dry.
