Hi
I am new to this site. I have a 2016 M240 and was wondering, are the bonnet hinges adjustable? I know you can adjust the bolts attached to the bonnet, what about the side of the hinges that attach to the body? Any help most appreciated KC |

Hi
Many thanks for this. I have watched it before. However my bonnet sits slightly high (where the bonnet meets the a frame near door) So is the hinge adjustable to lower it closing the gap on one side. It’s quite annoying |

oh, interesting, Are you sure your fenders are adjusted properly? I've never encountered that issue before.
You might need to post a picture. I'm having a hard time visualizing the problem. Do you mean high as in from the ground up or high as in its sitting closer to the windshield? |

Yeah sorry not explaining it properly. The bonnet feels as though it’s slanted, by that I mean one side seems to sit high (passenger side) compared to the drivers side (which the gap is fine at windscreen end) although the line is not flush between bonnet and wing

Ahhhh I understand now. Using the nuts located on the hinges of the bonnet, you do have a tiny bit of side to side manipulation available to you. If its not enough, andjust your fendersby loosening the bolts on the upper part. I'll also link a video showing what I'm talking about since some bolts are hidden under the cowling.
hope this helps! |

Ok I will have a look at the vid in a few moments.
I was wondering by undoing them nuts from hinge to bonnet you also have slight lift/drop on the side in question that could lift the side that’s not flush bringing making better alignment (if that makes sense) But as far as the rest of the hinge there is nothing that can be done to combat this |
