Confusion around model linked to VIN number

Hey guys,

Been looking at the forums for a long time while in the market for an F82. Put a deposit on a car over the weekend. I've just had a pre purchase inspection done on the vehicle.

I have a little bit of confusion around the fact that on government websites (Aus) and VIN lookups the car is listed as an F32. I've also check the photos of the VIN stickers inside the door which also read F32.

I am assuming this is how they are labelled as they are on the F32 platform, F82 being the high end option. But for my own peice of mind could someone with an M4 confirm that it is normal for a F82 to reflect F32 on the VIN stickers.

Can confirm this is the same labelling (4 series - F32) on my F82 M4 in Melb Aust.
