One tidy N55 F22... heartbreak!!!!
Hi everyone, sooooo
I picked up a standard M235I in 2020 with 24k miles on it for £18.500 Loved it but thought it could be better since then I've spent over £20.000 on modifications to make it the car it is today. All the modifications are listed in garage but it just goes on and on. Here's the hard part. Selling time.. I guess I've spent in all between 38 and 40k. With all the paperwork to prove it. It's covered only 44.000 miles and oil change every 5000 miles.. comes out as golden as it goes in. At 525hp and more torque you could ask for, What kind of price should I be letting it go at???? Many thanks.... |

Part it out or keep it. Not many people will appreciate what you've done to it unfortunately. There's a few that might want the mods but they will be hard to find if you do privately sell it. It may be different in your market but expecting extra $$ for mods doesn't work well, it usually leads to a negative more than a positive.
Good lookin' car though! |

Yeah, I know.
I'm in no real rush to sell. I have a itch, that itch is the G87. And do it all again! Just trying to work out a start point. No where near 40k I know that but the great mystery is how much and on what platforms to list it. Just hope if the time comes it gets looked after |

I'm in a similar circumstance, but with nothing new to add, really.
I got my car for $39K new ($10K discount), have put over $20K into it to get it the way I like it, receive an enquiry about selling it every couple of years, and realize that if I get $35K for it I'll still need to come up with another $25-35K before starting over again. Because there's no other car that I really want (even after spending another $40-50K out-of-pocket), I always come down on the side of keeping it. You, on the other hand, have a problem!

Maybe start by setting a minimum you're willing to take as-is? I would think a market for modified 235 above $25k is fairly slim. So if that's not enough, then return it to stock and sell the parts separately.
Or, you can price it whatever you want, list it and forget about it till someone is interested at that price. |
