5AG retrofit on F22 / F87?
Has anyone looked in to performing the 5AG lane change warning retrofit on a 2er? The only thing really stopping me right now is that it seems like there's not a good place to put the radars behind the bumper cover without making somewhat major modifications.

I do not think it uses radar to detect the lane but rather uses the camera. On mine if the lines are too faded out it stays off, radar would not care about the lines.

It's technically active blind spot monitoring but BMW calls it Lane Change Warning
There are two radars in the rear bumper; https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1238969 |

I had an X5 loaner that had active lane departure protection, it actively pushed back on the steering if you wandered over the lines (hated it BTW).
Blind spot monitoring would obviously not use front cameras or radar. Did not know rear facing radar was even a thing with these cars. |
