F22 M240i Xdrive and M3/M4 LCAs
Did a cursory search here and couldn't find answer...
Indy shop says front LCAs need replacement (at 80k miles, I can't argue... feels loose under heavy acceleration and knocks over bumps). I want the M3/M4 upgrade (would install myself, Indy won't install anything outside stock) to remove the dead zone in middle and help in corners— but doesn't look like it's Xdrive compatible? Can anyone confirm if they will fit? Thanks. |

Just throw some new arms in or replace the bushings. The M3 arms seem to mess up more more than they fix, you'd likely need more parts to make it align right. But I doubt any of it would work on a x-drive car, you can't change much with those.

Now that the G series M3 is offered in X drive - someone should start exploring the cross compatibility if any exists.

This isn't unexpected, as the Gxx cars are on the CLAR platform now, but the Fxx cars weren't. |

Thank you all for the reply. I figured if I'm undertaking the activity to raise it up and disengage the half axles, I might as well replace LCAs and thrust arms as well.
I think F22 Xdrive is limited to only these options: 1. Replace all four with OEM style arms/bushings: FCP Euro conveniently sells a Lemforder kit with all four.I will probably end up going #4, but am interested if anyone has run the Mehle HD thrust arms? Do they tighten up the numbness at all but still offer some give for street use? I don't track the car and it's a daily driver. Thank you for any advice! If you call VAC and buy the arms and monoballs from them, I am sure they would swap them for you.
