Cost to CPO?
How much does a BMW dealer have to pay, if anything, to make a used BMW a CPO BMW?
Is there a fixed fee they have to pay BMW? Or does the cost vary? |

By cost, I'm sure he is referring to the reconditioning or service work they do to the car in order to meet BMW cert specs.
On average, they probably spend $2k on parts & labor. Usually new tires, brake pads and battery along with a full multi point inspection. In terms of an actual "cost" from BMW, there isn't one. |

I cant speak for BMW but with Honda's the dealer has to bring the car up to like new specs replace any worn service items (tires, brakes) and the millage on the car has to fall within a set range. they will extend the power train warranty x number of years/ or 100k miles and typically throw in something like free oil changes inspections ect. With Honda it added about a 3-5k increase in the price of the car. I am not aware of any cost to the dealer other than parts and labor to bring the car up to spec. I am sure BMW has similar requirements
