The car handles much more nuetral with a square wheel setup. You will see that most people go with a square setup on track wheels.

Can I ask you why are you moving to 18"?

I´ve a very good opportunity from a local vendor for this rims in 19"...

Please extend your answer. I want to know exactly wich is the problem: performance, consumption, ride quality, etc...

Thank you very much in advance.
It's just because of the ride quality. I really liked the look but in my country (Turkey) roads are not stable in the city and 19" wheels were getting damaged in bumps and pits

I moved to Borbet Y 18" wheels for now. I also have a set of M Performance winter set (using them in track with semi-slicks)

Here are the photos

I'm quite stumped...
How does that size (both rims&tyres) even work on front without touch guards and strut..?

New member from Australia.
This preowned car came with Hockenheim style wheels (close replica to the VMR V802 popular here, but with different offsets).
Specs:
Front:. 19x8.5 with ET42. Tyres 235/35.
Rear:. 19x9.5 with ET40. Tyres 255/35.
Bit too much poke in the rear for my taste.
No rubbing.

Since purchasing, the rear 9.5" rims have been replaced with 8.5" rims of the same offset as the front (ET42). The same tyres were then refitted to the new 8.5" rears, (255/35).
Net result:
Front:. 19x8.5 ET42 235/35 tyres
Rear:. 19x8.5 ET42 255/35 tyres.
No rubbing.

The rear tyres are about 20mm taller than original spec tyres.
So the Speedo would read about 3% less than the actual speed.

I have since replaced those rear tyres with 265/30, which is the same diameter as originally fitted, hence Speedo now correct

Hello! And thank you for this site☺️
help please choose the right size for my m240xi
I have original suspension and H&r springs
I’ve been struggling to choose for a week
I want to buy APEX ARC-8
My rubber Michelin pilot sport 5 225/40 and 255/35 R18 already bought

Option 1
Front R18 8.5 et45 225/40 r18 (as I understand at 225 no spacer needed)
Rear R18 8.5 et45 255/35 r18
Will there be any problems with the rear wheels? Blows on the wing outside and rub? With the civil collapse of the Convergence and without a big negative angle? I’m afraid of it and I really hope you think about it

Option 2
Front 18 8.5 et38 225/40
Rear 18 8.5 et45 255/35

Option 3
Front 18 8.5 et45 225/40 without spacer is good?
Rear 18 9.5 et58 255/35 without spacers

Help please sort out and buy the most faithful kit for my 240 with h&r springs without hitting the wing and friction
Thank you everyone
