Thanks for confirming!

2-3mm is plenty, as it is important to note that the clearance will be maintained once the car is settled on the ground. You shouldn't have any issues with 235/40-18 tires when using 5mm spacers but 255/40-18 tires can always be used for an easier fit!

I didn't want to add camber plates but now it sounds like they may be necessary.
Update: Just for my own peace of mind, I went with the 225/40 18s (still with the 5mm spacers front) and have zero issues. And they look killer.

When I get the Ohlin Road & Track coilovers with Vershlog camber plates, then I'll experiment with a wider track.

One last question for you if you don't mind. What tires did you go with? I'm planning on Michelin PS 4S's.

Sorry I hadn't seen that. I went with PSA4 but I would imagine PS4S would work too being that they are only .1" wider in tread and section width.

No worries, thanks for the response! Trying to get tires and wheels ordered this week. Didn't know the 4S was a full inch wider than the regular PS4…you really have that much extra clearance to the strut that you think you could run them?

.1” or roughly 2.5mm total, 1.25mm on either side. This is all according to Tire Rack and not an exact science but like I said I think you’ll be okay.

LOL that's what I get for reading on my phone while walking haha. Thanks again. Will keep everyone posted once I get things ordered. Were you able to reuse your stock TPMS sensors?

Ah, I see. I'll probably just order new ones. Might be a pain to swap the old ones over. I'm going to hold onto my OEM wheels until I buy a dedicated set of winter wheels. Thanks!

Pics coming soon but tomorrow am putting on the following setup on my 2019 M240i:

Apex Ec-7's in satin black
Fronts: 18 x 8.5 with 35et w/ Mich P 4's 235 40-18's
Rears: 18 x 9.5 with 58et w/ Mich P 4's 265 35-18's

The shop has spacers on hand in case that is needed for fitment. After install I'm going to check out clearances and then decide on if I want to install lowering springs.

Tomorrow can't happen soon enough!!

Hi all,

Does anyone have any pics of Bronze Arc-8s on their F22? I seen the pics at the start of the thread and they look good but there is a bit of filtering on the phots so I want to see a pic of them in real light to get a good feel for the colour.

Thanks.

Install completed this week for these:

Apex Ec-7's in satin black
Fronts: 18 x 8.5 with 35et w/ Mich P 4's 235 40-18's
Rears: 18 x 9.5 with 58et w/ Mich P 4's 265 35-18's

The shop used 7.5mm spacers in the rear to clear the suspension. No issues or any rubbing. The car could be a little bit lower with springs but not sure I want to deal with trimming fender liners or camber adjustments. I think it looks real clean as is.

Add me to the list of Arc 8s in 17x8.5 ET40 (hyper black color) with Michelin PS4S 245x40 square. On all stock suspension. Absolutely love it!! Thanks everyone for answering my dumb and repetitive questions. Can't wait to devour some miles this summer.

That setup looks great and I really like the tread pattern on those tires. Nicely done.

What trunk lip is that and where did you get it? I'm in the market for a trunk lip and looking for more info.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I bought this CS style spoiler off Amazon. If you look at the reviews I posted a few more pics. I’ve had it 8 months now and I have no regrets. Tape that it came with is still stuck down, no yellowing or degradation of the finish, and the carbon looks quite good especially considering the price. Keep in mind however I ceramic coated it 2 months in when I ceramic coated the rest of my car, so that may have a role in its longevity.

Wanting to go 235/40/18 square with 18x8.5 EC-7. Should I go +45 with a 5mm spacer up front? Or +35? I'm slightly concerned about the +35 in the rear poking out too much (front as well). I'll be at stock height for the foreseeable future. Any input is appreciated.

Thinking about the FL-5 or SM-10 square and wondering which ET to choose as well.
