B14 and EDC Delete
Any comments or experience with this set-up on an M235i with EDC before I pull the trigger?
. Any recommendations on EDC delete kit vs Coding Out? Thanks for your input -- |

https://www.bilstein.com/us/en/produ...98046438879637 if you can find someone to code it out for $100-150, that is a the way to go to save some money. If you can't find anyone to do it, the EDC delete is the easiest plug and play. Shoot me a PM for a quote. |

I have the b14 and did the edc delete via coding through a shop. I loved the upgrade but depending on how you drive you might find yourself wanting more over time but limited because you don't have damper and rebound controls on the suspension. I don't have any complaints about the b14 themselves though, but do kind of regret no being able to progress the car toward more aggressive handling than what they already give out of box.
Ps: before you drive yourself or your shop nuts thinking there is a fitment issue, I believe you need two of the same side endlinks because of the edc setup on your car since you're technically retro-fitting non-edc suspension. It was like that for my m240i. There are a few posts about it if you dig around. |

I’d definitely consider the B16 damptronic over the b14 setup. However, some people feel Bilstein can provide too much damping and can make the car difficult over larger bumps/expansion joints. I’m running a MCS 2WR setup with F/R 500/800 lbf/in springs and the ride is not harsh under any driving circumstances and reducing Fcand R C damping makes riding bumps sublime even with 500/800 rates (on the softer side, running 700/1100 lbf/in on my F82 with MCS 2WR dampers). Decided to code out EDC/sport issues.
