Used M240i x-drive prices
Hello! This is my first post so sorry if I'm doing this in the wrong place but how much should a 2017 m240i xdrive roughly cost? The chip shortage has car prices all over the place and im trying to see if 30k USD is a fair price on a used 2017 m240i xdrive with roughly 50k miles. I'm mainly looking for prices people were paying for m240's before this whole thing or just any helpful info to help guide my buying process.

Heya!
That sounds about right in the current market. FWIW, I just got an offer from Shift for my 2017 EB M240ix with 44k miles. They offered me almost $32k. I paid 32K last year with 37k miles. If I could get a smokin' deal on an M car, I would go for this in a heart beat. But the unfortunate part is everything is inflated, and there is no inventory. It is a sellers market. josh |

I have an M2 on order as the lease on my 2019 m240i xdrive is about up. however I'm thinking about buying out the m240i since I've heard used car values are insane right now. my residual is about 31k and I have about 24k miles on it. what do you all think?

You could probably get the dealer to offer you cash now.

I too am shopping for an m240i, xdrive or not. Market is insane right now. i have seen a few start to drop about $1000 over the past 3 weeks or so. I think I will just wait till November and see if there are any better prices then when the new 240 is out.
Good luck guys. This has to crack at some point. |

Waiting for the price to drop because the newer and disgusting M240 is out is a mistake, lol... In all probability, it's going to retain some value because of it (2022).
I had high hopes but they, the designers, really screwed the pooch on this one! My 20' M240xi is loaded and I haven't broke 5k miles yet (Covid)! Was thinking about selling and getting an M2, but will now have to wait and see what they do to that upcoming model too. Some early leaks say the S58 engine is only going to be 410HP which is confusing! Downpipe and a little nudge and the M240 is there without the added $. Anyways, Good Luck on your search, but don't wait for prices to drop any time soon. We know what we have |
