This is def going to poach sales from the x5 and the gv70 from the x3. This is what Acura and Infiniti should be doing, in terms of design language and bang for your buck. Whatever brand loyalty Acura and Infiniti had is completely gone.
I don't think x5 driver or x3 drivers really love their cars enough to not jump ship, although BMW does have a core market (like Lexus with their RX). If you remove the core BMW, Lexus market, there's plenty of stragglers with no brand loyalty that Genesis will nab. Throw in all the Acura & Infiniti buyers, and that's a decent market for Genesis. If genesis fixes the dealership experience and establishes themselves as a premium brand, and offers some competitive pricing, these cars will sell. They've done 2 of the 3 already (pricing and premium brand), so they're well on their way. Gv70 looks like the first gen Infiniti FX35, and I think it'll do really well. |

These pictures make it look like it might have some actual cargo room in the back. Making it a sporty UV instead of a sporty uV.

I saw one last week. Was on highway so I couldn't see interior. Looked great except for the upper part of the rear end, which is too large and disproportional like those badonkadonk women whose butts stick out so far they're almost a shelf. Which can be a good thing for a woman, but not for this car.
Otherwise, yeah - it's a Bentayga copy that's mostly well executed |

I realize it’s a rendering, but every production car does not need a BBK. It’s bad enough now as it is.

The overall shape and at a quick glance, especially the teardrop rear side windows kind of remind of the Infiniti FX45. Anyone else or just me?

Big Brake Kit. Generally 6 or more pistoned calipers.

These don't seem too popular (yet) in the midwest, or the dealer network has not received units to sell. I don't recall seeing any of these yet.

Genesis has many great things going for it and they make excellent cars, but they really need a better network of dealers. This was one of the many aspects that helped Lexus back in the day to differentiate themselves from Toyota, and today even Lexus dealers and customer service are usually rated #1. They have tried to remedy this with the "Concierge" Valet Service, but many dealers stopped that with Covid. So far I've seen three GV80's in the wild and one G80, as well as a few G70's here and there since they were on sale. Great looking cars, although they are going a bit further away from the value strategy. |

Agree, its a really nice SUV in person, should really start to put Genesis on the map, and the Tiger Woods situation actually proved to be helpful to Genesis.

I agree. I checked out a top trim GV80 and the new G80 the other day. As good as I thought the GV80 looked in print and on the opposite side of the highway, sitting in it and touching it the thing was beyond my expectations for the price point. I'm a Genesis fanboy though, owned 2 sedans in the recent past. That G80 almost left with me thay day. It seriously took all of my intestinal fortitude to leave without it. But I don't want any payments for awhile and that's why I sold the last one and paid cash for 2 cars. But it was definitely touch and go!

It seems like the Kentucky guard Terrence Clarke died in a car accident in GV80. What a crazy coincidence. However, his vehicle was moving with a crazy speed when it hit the truck.

I finally saw two in the wild this past week. One was dark green and one was white. The one in white looked sharp! I was really impressed.
