I just updated my m235i transmission mounts to M2 mounts.
I had 50k miles on the car. Shifting had gotten a little notchier than normal at times. I suspected the drivetrain was moving a little.

These did the trick. Drivetrain feels tight. Shifting back to perfect.

If you do not want ANY increase in NVH, stick to a new set of OEM 235 or M2 mounts.

If you want to stiffen it up with minimal increase in NVH, I along with many, recommend the Rogue rubber mounts. They are a perfect balance of stiffness/ mininal nvh.

You can get them from bimmerworld I believe under item ""RE.TM".

Just ordered a set. I tried the ecs mounts and they were absolute hell, only ran them for 1 day.

I like my M2 mounts as well. I added them in the fall.

Any additional NHV? How much stiffer than stock?

Here’s a link to my trans mount setup. Very little added NVH and I use a body mounted self centering shifter.

I didn't notice any additional NVH and I'm pretty tuned to that kind of stuff and will remove parts immediately if there's too much NVH/compromise.

Durometer wise, the rubber in the M2/3/4 mount felt maybe 10 to 15% more stiff. However, my stock M235 mounts were also 5 years old. Visually, they looked fine though. No cracks, tears, etc.

Mind you I have a body mounted self centering shifter

I went with uuc e series m3 high density rubber mounts, and metal cups. Very happy.

The rubber Is stiffer then stock and absorbs the NVH, the metal cups provide the support to prevent movement.
I'm having chassis mounted shifter with Rouge rubber mounts too.
There is still a metal buzzing sound under the boot. Any NVH to you?
Have you tried stock mount with chassis mounted shifter before?

Thanks
