More efficient way to learn incoming BMW inventory than talking to a salesperson?
I've tried sites like CarGurus, PenskeCars.com, SonicAutomotive, etc.
I'm interested in a 230i with very specific equipment and was hoping not to have to custom order. BMWUSA site will show you a FEW cars near a given Zip Code. I've even tried switching from city to city on that site. I'm interested but hate to take up a salesperson's time until I'm closer to pulling the trigger. And not thrilled about the dozen follow up calls after asking a salesperson a question. CarGurus shows very little inventory updates since the Pandemic. Looking for a 230i, 2020 or 2021, Grey or Silver, Dakota Leather in Oyster or Black, must have Harmon-Kardon + fineline wood + most typical options. I see that Silver has been discontinued for 2021. I could probably be flexible on regular vs. MSport. Don't really want XDrive because of added weight/cost. Would play with the idea of a M240i but have a 150 mile commute and gas mileage matters. |

Are you against driving by the BMW dealer(s) near you?
You have a 230i now, correct? Is there anything preventing you from swinging by the dealer now and then, grabbing a granola bar and coffee, walking the showroom, and leaving? |

I got service last week and walked around the dealership in Birmingham.
The salesperson who I spoke with six months ago happened to be off that day. (I had emailed him with a question about incoming inventory the week before and got no response.) On-lot inventory was incredibly small. Perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 of normal. There were no new 2 series cars of any kind. There was one used M240i (white). |

Unless you are serious about buying soon it is a pointless exercise to find out if what you want is available near you.

Try autotempest.com....searches a TON of sites at once. It's the GOAT.

Hell yeah! I use it all the time just to browse. I wish there was an iOS app version, but not yet.
