Funny i was thinking recently that i rarely if ever see another 2 of any kind, extremely rare. I see 3s and 4s and many other Ms but nope, rarely a 2... it's actually one of the reasons i choose the model, it's not a me too car...

Never
I live in back woods of the thumb of Michigan. BMWs are rare and 2 series are never. I wonder if I own the only 2 series in a 100 mile circle of me. My closest bmw dealer is 90 miles. I was in Florida last week and was amazed at all BMWs on the road down there.

Hi Hap! Wouldn't this be a redundancy?

Funny how different regions of the country vary in what vehicles are common. Around the Boston area, BMW's (and Audi's and Merc's) are a dime-a-dozen. Mostly 3's, 4's, 5's X3's and X5's, but like I said above, I see a 2'er at least a couple times a month. M3's & 4's aren't uncommon, and even the occasional M2. But from my experience driving around central PA, northern NY and central FL, I rarely saw any BMW's, let alone and 2'ers.

Since I looked into getting a M240i to today I think I have only seen two M240Is, a few M2s, one M235i, and one 228.
The San Francisco Bay Area is not free of BMWs. But pretty rare to see a 2 Series BMW. |

lots of 2-series cars here in Seattle. I feel like I see them at least every second or third drive I go on. |

True
The backwoods of Michigan is also the thumb. Ford 250 are the vehicles that are dime a dozen no BMWs. Oh by the way my 240 is under a cover in a heated garage until at least April! That’s when the back woods open up ! If the Governor lets us !

For practical reasons, including living on a gravel road, my Tundra was always my daily driver. I had BMW race cars, yet it was understood where I lived that vehicles like the Tundra and a Volvo V70 or a Subaru were much more suited to daily driving.

See very few 2 series here in York PA.
Have seen no other M240i convertibles here. Did see a M240xi vert once. Did see a blue 128i convertible on the Baltimore beltway yesterday coming back from visiting my father. I can count the number of 1 series BMWs of any model that I’ve seen easily on one hand. |

Just saw a 235i in the same parking garage at work, decked out just like mine but had the "M" emblem. I have the 230i model with SptPkg so I guess I'm a wannabe, lol.

About 2 weeks ago a I pulled out of the fast lane for a EB M235i/240i (it was dusk and I was exhausted from work so couldn'read the numbers. ha) near Lafayette. It looked like it had some aftermarket wheels and some M Performance parts. Nice looking car and for the first time I was able to picture what my car looked like rolling down the road. Other thatn that one, I have seen maybe 1 or 2 of the 235i240i. And the Bay Area is littered with BMW cars and SUV's. It is pretty mind boggling to be honest. The only other brand you see more of is Tesla. Josh |

What would interest me is seeing where the 78,053 2 Series sold during those seven years (and still running) are now registered.

I lived in the City for 35 years and don't recall seeing very many convertibles. I could never understand why.

Gotta laugh at the timing...
As I came out of the Caldacott tunnel westbound headed for a mtb ride, a CGM M240i (looked to have 2018-20 wheels on it, box stock, no tint) comes barreling out of the left bore. So now I have seen, like four of these things... haha. Josh |

Mostly see M2s around here - quite a few of them. Not seen another M240 tho.
