had the "M Performance Muffler" installed by the dealership this week for my 2018 m240xc. i have only a few brief and hard drives with it so far.
quick review for cold start: so. much. noise. quick review for sport+ mode: lots of fun noises that might get old after awhile. quick review in eco pro mode: DROOOOOONNNNEEEEE. low rpms are not fun. quick review of the fitment: got the carbon fiber tips. they are much bigger than the stock black tips that came with the car. they fill the whole area in the bumper. and they barely peek out, which i think is nice. i have a call in to see if the shoppe still has my old muffler in case i cant handle the drone anymore and / or decide to grow up. |

I have the Dinan exhaust and it has great sound. And doesn't have any of the drone that you're getting. But yes, it is a little loud on a cold start too lol. But I love that part. And in Sport+ with aggressive driving, it absolutely growls.

Brought it home an unruly cousin. Interesting to see the two together in HS and GS.

Matched mirror caps and new paddle shifters. And sequential blinkers. I need to start my own progress thread. lol!!
FYI: the wheel trim and dash trim is vinyl. Was a fairly close match but with the new paddles, I'm gunna eventually rip them out and correctly match it also. Also added a before photo with the silver caps. |

Washed it and got it lowered on Dinan Springs. Also added 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers.

Which shop lowered it for you? Southwest Bimmers here in Las Vegas wants $900 to install springs with an alignment. I don't mind coming down to So Cal to get the springs installed.

that sounds like a deal to me. the cheapest i can find in portland is $1,265.00 to install springs with an alignment. no, that does not include the price of the springs.

I found a reputable shop here that did all 4 Dinan springs and bump stops for $550. Keep looking! Deals are out there to be had.

Your $550 is probably pretty close to his $1,265 in Portland. That tracks the ratio of median home prices, anyway. Still, $1,265 does seem a bit excessive.
