Hi there,

Standard story. Lost my keyfob. Is the dealer my only option? Seems like price gouging is in full force with dealerships. Also, every dealer I call out of state wants me to "come in person".

I do need the cut key blade as well.

What are my options at this point?

The dealer is assuring that you are the legal owner. Different dealers might offer different prices, so shop around, but it is your best option.

From that page:

New keys are supplied directly from BMW. Along with the order BMW will need proof of ownership for the vehicle.

Proof of ownership includes a copy of the owners drivers license and a copy of the vehicle's current registration or title. The easiest way to submit them is to take a picture of the two and send them through an email. Our email is TheBMWMinipartstore@gmail.com.

Keys are a coded part and are not returnable.
