Any thoughts on EuroDesign Rims?

Hey folks,

If this has been covered in the past please except my apologies. I was provided a winter tire contact from my dealer. The contact in question suggested EuroDesign SPA rims. The price was very competitive (approx 100-125 USD each).

I'm hoping that somebody on this site could share their insights and perhaps experience?

Thanks in advance

At first glance, they look pretty cheesy. Like something you'd find at townfair tire or another chain store. The Spa is close to a certain VMR design though. I've personally never heard of them, but I can tell you I've bought 18" wheels for a different car at 125/piece (xxr) and they have worked very well for the application (low stress/winter car). One of the cheapest but quality wheel/designs for the 2 series is the vmr v703, not trying to sound like a fanboy but with shipping they're around 200/wheel which isn't too much more for the look and options your getting. Maybe someone else can chime in on other low cost options but not sure how low quality you should go on cars like these

If you're that way inclined, you can of course swap-out the «ED» caps for BMW fixed or floating replacements. Or just swap your existing roundels across to the winters. I did this with my Alutec winter wheels - not because of the branding but because the roundel blue quarters nicely match the estoril blue of the bodywork and brake calipers.

Here they are installed. I've also added a before shot for contrast.
