DIY Oil Catch Can
Hi everyone, just wanted to share a DIY oil catch can that costs about $100. I had a small issue after the first video so I made the correction which can be found in the second video. Hope this helps some of you.

is that you in the video ?
i did something similar but slightly different from you on my car Anyways if anyone here is interested: About 2 months ago, i ordered two different oil catch cans for my F30 N55 from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KM1BNJ4..._hTjpFbVJTJDRS The one i ended up installing is similar to the above link (but i barely paid $35 for another brand). The second oil catch can i ordered is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Tasan-Racing-...3E2EFMGPK&th=1 The reason i bought the two of them at the same time was because i wanted to physically compare them first before making the final decision... Unfortunately i couldn't do the comparison due to delay in shipping of the second one, it didn't arrive fast enough by the time I had to complete the maintenance of my car before the smog check due date in July. So now, i have a spare oil catch can that i have no use.. I started the return process to the seller, but since the seller is in China, and the post office wants to charge me even more than the price i paid for the oil catch can in the first place, it made no sense to me... I might as well help a brother (or sister) out instead: i can sell it to one of you here, but you know what? In spirit of the difficult time we currently live in right now, I already lost $20, i dont want to lose another $20 to the post office, and i dont care about getting back $20 right now... conclusion i will give this second oil catch can to one of you for free... The "catch" is i wont mail it. you will have to be local and come pick it up.... It is still in its box, i haven't even open it, you can open the box yourself/together once you come by... i can also show you how i installed mine on the car. If anyone here close by in the SoCal (LA/Riverside/OC) metropolitan area is interested, let me know then we can make arrangements to help your N54 breath cleaner... again: this is free, but you have to pick up... Get it out of my hand guys/gals, i cant be bothered returning it to the seller...

unfortunately This doesn't happen, what does happen is this oily watery shitty stuff gets coated all over your intake track, Intake runners, intake valves and piston as well as other places you don't want this stuff getting. Someone else mentioned Intercooler and charge piping. over time this can cause major power loss, mis-fires, dirty injectors, poor air flow, poor fuel economy and much more. It was always said that the revamped version of the N55, think N55B30U0 and N55B30TO wouldn't suffer from these issues as it was a big N54 issue. Not so true! I've got a BMS OCC on my 16 M235i that i use for autocross/track and it only has 65,xxxKM on the engine. Doesn't burn oil and runs super healthy. I STILL find a good nice mess in the OCC from time to time. It did cost a little bit but i'm so glad i invested in it because the gunk i'm seeing come out...Would not look good inside the motor....
