Folding side view mirrors on lock
Hi all,
I have used BimmerCode to set the mirrors to fold upon lock. However it is not instantaneous. I mean, I have to hold the keyfob button down for a second for the mirrors to fold. What can I do to fold them the minute car is locked? |

Shorten the delay.

There is an option as "Auto Hold Mirrors". I did not change any delays. I'll geta screenshot whenever I have the chance. But I don't thing its a wise choice to enable it. Because one of them is already squeaking after 3 months (say after 100 times)

Also, in the winter (at least where I live) we get freezing rain. While the car is inside at HOME, while at work it is in the weather. I would think that a nice freezing rain would be really hard on the folding mirrors once you tried to extend them again to drive home.

I used the Auto Holding for couple of months. After that they started to squeak. Oiled them and reverted back. Held position picks up a lot of dust. I'm not sure if the mirrors are that durable. I set it to long press, so I only hold them wherever I need them to be.
