BSM isn't bad actually. If it's well polished, it still shines well even through base layers of dust/dirt. I power wash my car every other day to get rid of the dust and usually can't be bothered to dry it, still looks great. And one full two bucket wash on my Sunday mornings to freshen it back up before my religious Sunday loop drive. I have a pure white GTI, and it shows dirt/road dust just as much, if not more with the type of roads we have here. In a city that sprays salt etc, I would hate having a dark colour vehicle though.
