The Coupe Remains Exclusive!
With all this free time at home (week 3 of being on "furlough"), I browsed a BMW dealer I had used in Michigan. I was initially somehow reinforced to see 23 2 Series models in stock! The car is popular....yay!
Then, I checked the next level of inventory search and found: wow OTOH, we remain exclusive! For whatever that is worth...... And, there are folks on the 2 GC forum who don't think this will sell because they don't like the design. Never mind...the dealers have spoken!

BMW has been flogging them heavily. I've interpreted this to mean that they're a relatively inexpensive means for the masses to acquire their very own roundel. Or rent one for a while, at least. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I look at it as a positive.
The F22/F23 isn't that popular over here in the UK where the 1 series sold really well. It makes me feel I've something a bit unique. |

As I pointed out in another thread, I was surprised to see so many more convertibles than coupes regarding M240is. In the Pacific Northwest, it rains 3/4 of the year. Maybe the same logic is being applied to the disparities with Gran Coupes and AWD models?

Where else can you get a convertible with this much modding potential and almost Miata like size proportions for this price? Of course it is HEAVY but has tons of power to boot, serviceable back seats, a decent sized boot... without being a boat. An AWD all weather beast with the ability to put down the top. No wonder people default to the M240i convertible. |

And sorry to hear about the furlough. Seems like most people I know have either been furloughed or have taken a pay-cut. Unprecedented times right now.
