Steering knock even after replacing thrust piece
Hello, i have the well known steering knock on my 2015 F36 with variable sport steering. I have bought the thrust piece replacement kit and installed it, but i can still hear the knocking and the suspension clunk when going over bumps has not gone away.
Now, you may say that i had to tighten it more, but i tried, and then it was too tight and the steering wheel was too hard and did not return to center. So does that mean that the problem is the rack itself? Maybe i did not put on enough grease on the peace? Or maybe the clunk is an adaptive suspension software issue? |

When you said the thrust piece you meant the bearing above the spring?

Not sure how to explain what it is, but the procedure is described here: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...nit/1Vnc3X9PQZ
There is a repair kit for it. |
